01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
02 - Place peeled and chunked sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until very tender. Drain thoroughly in a colander.
03 - Transfer drained sweet potatoes to a large mixing bowl and mash until smooth using a potato masher or hand mixer.
04 - Add melted butter, whole milk, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix thoroughly until fully combined and creamy.
05 - Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly into the prepared 9x13-inch baking dish.
06 - Bake uncovered for 25 minutes at 375°F.
07 - Remove baking dish from oven and scatter mini marshmallows evenly across the entire surface.
08 - Return to oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown and toasted.
09 - Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
