11 - 2 spring onions, sliced

→ Sauce

12 - 2 tbsp soy sauce
13 - 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
14 - 1 tbsp rice vinegar
15 - 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
16 - 1 tbsp honey
17 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
18 - 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

→ Cooking

19 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil

# Steps:

01 - Combine beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl. Toss thoroughly to coat and let marinate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
02 - Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger in a small bowl until well combined. Set aside for later use.
03 - Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add marinated beef strips and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but slightly pink in center. Remove beef from pan and reserve on a plate.
04 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil to the hot pan. Add bell peppers, broccoli, carrot, and sugar snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender and brightly colored.
05 - Return beef to the pan. Pour prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes until beef is fully cooked through and sauce coats everything in a glossy finish. Remove from heat immediately.
06 - Sprinkle sliced spring onions over the stir fry. Serve immediately while hot, accompanied by steamed jasmine rice or stir-fried noodles if desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Everything comes together in under 30 minutes including prep time
  • The sauce strikes that perfect balance between spicy and savory
02 -
  • Don't overcrowd the pan or the beef will steam instead of sear
  • Have everything measured and prepped before you turn on the heat
03 -
  • Preheat your serving bowl so the stir fry stays piping hot at the table
  • Cut all your vegetables to similar sizes so they cook evenly
