Protein-packed overnight oats with Greek yogurt and chia seeds, prepped in minutes for a creamy grab-and-go breakfast.

# What You Need:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 1/4 cups milk or plant-based milk
03 - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
04 - 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 30 g)
05 - 1 tbsp chia seeds
06 - 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
07 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
08 - Pinch of salt

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Fresh berries
10 - Sliced banana
11 - Chopped nuts
12 - Nut butter
13 - Shredded coconut

# Steps:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl or mason jar, add the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and no dry pockets remain.
02 - Seal the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or secure the lid on the mason jar. Place in the refrigerator and let chill for a minimum of 6 hours or overnight to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and soften completely.
03 - Remove from the refrigerator and give the oats a good stir. Add a splash of milk if a thinner, creamier consistency is desired.
04 - Top with fresh berries, sliced banana, chopped nuts, nut butter, or shredded coconut. Serve cold directly from the refrigerator.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The protein powder and Greek yogurt combination keeps you full until lunch without that mid morning crash that sends you raiding the snack drawer.
  • Everything comes together in one jar with zero cooking and barely any dishes to wash.
02 -
  • Protein powder can clump if you dump it straight into cold liquid so try mixing it with the milk first in a quick shake before adding the rest of the ingredients.
  • These oats keep beautifully for up to three days in the refrigerator which makes them perfect for batch prepping on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
03 -
  • Layer your toppings between the oats instead of just on top so every spoonful has something exciting waiting in it.
  • A pinch of cinnamon mixed into the base before chilling adds warmth that makes the whole jar taste more complex with zero extra effort.
